I must say that we Baltimoreans suffer a bit from the lack of cool, hip, otherwise known as simply "good" places for food and drink. As a foodie and lover of coffee, craft beer, and just about anything artisanal, there are far too few places in our town that feed my hipster-like hunger for a damn good place to eat.
Thankfully, we've found one. Artifact Coffee in Union Mills. My wife and I went there on a daytime date (most of you who aren't lucky enough to work with your spouse call this a lunch) and I knew I'd found an instant favorite place to break up the work week.
I snapped some simple shots of the place to try to capture what it was that just made me happy. No obligatory coffee shots (though I was indeed tempted). Just pretty things in and around the space.
So thankful for this place. We need more like it!
P.S. Three ingredients on the menu that are far too rare a find in typical Baltimore restaurants:
- Brussel sprouts
- Maple syrup
- House-made english muffins (hot damn!)
